Abstract:
     This invention proposed a method of producing hydroxide and thiosulfate or sulfate and sulfur by using the aqueous solution of a sulfide as the raw material in the presence of oxygen or air. The sulfides of alkali metal and that of alkaline-earth metal are all suited for this method, in which the cation of each sulfide is transformed to its hydroxide and thiosulfate in 50:50 percentage ratio or to its sulfate.
