Abstract:
     The present invention is related to an improved technological process for producing sodium nitrate by the double decomposition of calcium nitrate and sodium sulfate. It is characterized by: firstly, an additional decomposition reaction procedure is added before the original double decomposition process is carried out, i.e. calcium nitrate is directly produced from ammonium nitrate and lime water; and the cost is greatly lowered for the trouble in packing and transporting calcium nitrate due to its liable deliquescence is solved secondly, previous to the concentration step of the original double decomposition process, a proceduce for eliminating foreign impurity is added to overcome the shortcomings of the prod. obtained by the original double decomposition reaction being liable to deliquesce, harden and in poor purity etc. By this method, the ammonia gas released from decomposition can be recirculated for producing ammonium nitrate or others.
