Abstract:
    According to the process, an aqueous solution containing dissolved sodium bicarbonate (33) is treated with an immiscible organic liquid (4 ) comprising a water-insoluble nitrogenous organic base, and rock salt (20) is added to the resulting aqueous phase (39). The sodium chloride solution is suitable for the production of sodium bicarbonate by the amine soda industrial process.
