Abstract:
     At present sodium hydroxide is produced by electrolysis or causticization, etc. The present invention describes a method for producing sodium hydroxide by using sodium sulphide as raw material, which is reacted with copper oxide under 98 deg.C-105 deg.C The copper sulphide produced may be recycled after regeneration by baking oxidation. The copper sulphide produced by this method is characterized by easily obtainable raw materials, simple equipment, easy manufacture, little investment, technological conditions liable to control, good quality of product and low cost, etc.
