Abstract:
     This invention relates to a method of making high grade schoenite or mixture of schoenite and potassium chloride directly from the salt lake brine of sulfate type. The potassium in the brine maybe converted completely into schoenite or mixture of schoenite and potassium chloride. The harmful contaminant-sodium ion in the product produced by this invention is lower than 1% by weight. In the whole processing, no chemical additive is added. Therefore, there is no pollutant or waste to be stored. The process makes full use of solar energy as a energy source. The products provided by the said invention makes the chemical convertion of potassium sulfate easy, resulting in the high grade products. It is not confined to geographical locality and atmospheric condition. Its application is far wide.
