Abstract:
     This imvention refers to preparation of aluminium oxide containing lithium, which is prepared from solution of sodium aluminate made by bauvite, lime stone and soda and lithium -contaiuing solution made by spodumene, lime and caustic soda. Above mentioned two solutions are mixed and undergone carbonating decomposiiton, the aluminium hydrotide containing lithium is separated and roasted, then the aluminium oxide containing lithium is obtained. The aluminium oxide containing lithium is used to produce aluminium by electrolysis, without further addition of lithium carbonate. It reduces power consumption by 500 killowatt-hour per ton Al. Therefore, converting into production cost of lithium carbonate, it may be decreased in 50~62.5%. Said invention possesses many characteristics, such as simplified technology, smaller capital cost of equipment, remarkable econamic benifit etc.. It mag be applied to the enterprises producing aluminium oxide by roasting method.
