| The invention relates to the material selection of the alkali evaporator and the technology to reduce the corrosion of alkali evaporator due to alkali by adding composite corrosion inhibitor. For instance, in the battery factory, Ti and TiMoNi alloy can be used to substitute the precious metal of silver for making alkali evaporator, and by suitable controlling the content of composite corrosion inhibitor of LiOH NaNO3 or KNO3, it is possible to reduce the rate of corrosion of alkali evaporator ten times to several hundred times even to thousand times. By this invention, the precious metal of silver traditionally used in the battery factory can be wholly substituted. At the same time, the waste alkali can be recovered more economically into commodity alkali, thus reducing the environmental pollution and the production cost. The method is also suitable to other industries which make contact with alkali. | |||
