Abstract:
This invention is a method using the conversion of mixed salt and potassium chloride which are waste dregs from salt chemical factory to prepare potassium sulfate. The two raw materials go through the conversion at twice and floating separation once to obtain two products at the same time. They are potassium sulfate and sodium chloride. For the former product, its content of potassium oxide is more than 50% and the content of chlorine ion is less than 1%, so meeting the quality standard about potash fertilizer. The consumptions of potassium chloride and mixed salt for producing one ton of potassium sulface are respectively 1.15 and 3.0 tons and the sodium chloride as its by-product is 1.2 tons. This method has such advantages as low processing cost, less investment for apparatus, low energy dissipation and no environmental pollution.
