Abstract:
     The climatic of characteristic in salt lake district is considerable difference of daily temp. and long low-temp. period yearly, which is utilized in this invention. The picromerite can be obtd. without the necessity of returning brine into salt pan for evaporating. The period of prodn. process is shortened, the needs of freshwater is reduced, the quality of prod. obtd is good, crystal size is moderate and suitable for further processing. The conversion of potassium per path is over 50% and the technological process is simple. High grade picromerite obtd. can be utilized as chlorine-free potassium-magnesium compound fertilizer directly. Picromerite or mixt. of picromerite and potassium chloride can be used as raw material for producing potassium sulphate.
