Abstract:
     This invention covers a method for production of potassium nitrate, which comprises producing potassium nitrate during the reaction of nitric acid (or used nitric acid) with potassium chloride and ammonia in the presence of an association agent-alkyl tertiary amine with ammonium chloride recovered as the by-product. This process, being simple in technological scheme and free of side reactions, requires mild reaction conditions and can be conducted in a closed production cycle with high comprehensive utilization of raw materials. Compared with conventional production methods, the said process is characterized by low investment, higher product quality, lower production cost and its suitability for varios production scales.
