Abstract:
     The manufacturing process of caustic soda by use of mirabilite heating method takes the preparation of sodium sulfide (Na2S) solution by adding A' reduced from the auxiliary material A into the mirabilite (Na2SO4) solution and the preparation of concentrated caustic soda solution (30% NaOH) by adding the auxiliary material B into the sodium sulfide (Na2S) solution as the main processes. The auxiliary material A and B can be recovered by heating method and can be cyclically used. Its by-product SO2 can be used for preparing sulphuric acid (H2SO4). Raw material: mirabilite (Na2SO4); Product: caustic soda (NaOH) and sulphuric acid (H2SO4); Fuel: water gas or naturalgas, coal, and can produce by-product sodium sulfide (Na2S).
