Abstract:
     The present invention relates to an extracting process of caustic soda from trona by use of ionization-causticizing method. It is usually that the sodium hydroxide and calcium carbonate precipitate are produced from reaction of sodium carbonate with lime milk, but the reaction speed of this method is slow, its produciton period is long and energy consumption is high. The present invention is thatthe D.C. is fed into the reacting liquid to make ionization so as to promote reaction mass to dissociate, therefore its reaction can be quickened. The original reaction needs 48 hr., and the said ionization method only needs 6 hr., therefore its production period can be greatly shortened, and its reaction is complete, the rate of unitilization of raw material is high, its cost can be reduced, and energy consumption can be lowered. Its special equipment is a tower type ionization reactor, and its positive and negative ionization gratings are net structure made from stainless steel.
