Abstract:
     The process for preparing stable coarse acetonitrile (that is, after treatment of acetonitrile, the polymerization of acetonitrile on gasifying is basically eliminated) includes mixing coarse acetonitrile, strong alkali and aldehyde, heating to reflux temp. for stabilization of it, and recovering stable coarse acetonitrile, which may be used to prepared hydrogen cyanide.
