Abstract:
     The present invention relates to a process for producing potassium sulfate by using gypsum conversion method. Said invention process is as follows: the gypsum is treated at a certain temp. and converted to soluble salt, and then to which potassium chloride is added in a certain proportion, and then they are subjected to double decomposition reaction so as to obtain the potassium sulfate, and then its filtrate is evaporated and dewatered so as to obtain ammonia chloride. Said invention can use various gypses whose applicable values are not very high, and also can use the by-product phosphogypsum of phosphate fertilizer plant, so that it has the characteristics of low cost, small investment and short production period.
