Abstract:
     A C-nm rope consists of many fragments of C-nm bundle, each fragment has roughly the same length and consists of many parallel C-nm bundles, two ends of a fragment link up with another fragment by Van Der Waals forces. The process for preparing the said C-nm rope includes providing a smooth base, depositing a catalyst layer on the surface of the base, bring the mixture of C source gas and a protective gas through the base to grow up a C-nm bundle array, selecting a fragment of C-nm bundle from the array, stretching the fragment out with a tool to form C-nm rope along the lines of stretch.
