Abstract:
     The invention discloses a method of removing Co, Ni or (and) Fe from carbon nanometer tubes. It comprises, CO as the gas source, at a certain temperature and some pressure, metals such as Co, Ni or (and) Fe in a carbon nanometer tube will react with CO to obtain the corresponding carboxide compound, then at a negative pressure, removing the carboxide compound. The method could effectively remove Co, Ni or (and) Fe in the outer wall or inner wall of a carbon nanometer tube. In the case where metals such as Co, Ni or (and) Fe are in a stade of oxides, first reducing the metals with hydrogen, then producing corresponding carboxide compounds.
