Abstract:
    A portable apparatus (1) has a housing (2) with a retractable clip device (3) that detachably attaches the apparatus (1) to an external object, such as a belt or a pocket. The clip device (3) consists of a clip (4) and an arm (7), pivotally connected with each other and the housing (2), and biasing means (6) for moving the clip device (3) when a locking device (5) has released the clip device (3).
