Abstract:
    To enhance the stability of stopping the operation of a music box while reducing a pulling force required for this stopping, and to reduce the costs of components. An operation stopping mechanism 10 which is provided in a music box 1 in which when a pulling rope 4 wound on a pulley 5 coupled to a wind-up shaft 3 of a spiral spring 2 is pulled so as to rotate the pulley 5 in order to rotate the spiral spring 2 in its wind-up direction, comprising a cam mechanism as a moving means for moving the pulley 5 which is engaged with the wind-up shaft 3 so as to be rotated by a predetermined angle during pulling of the rope 4, by a predetermined distance in the axial direction, a stopper means 12 adapted to enter a rotating range R of a wind breaker 6 in association with the axial movement of the pulley 5 so as to stop the rotation of the wind breaker 6 and associated with the movement of the pulley 5, and coil springs 13, 14 for urging the pulley 5 in a return direction, overcoming the axial movement of the pulley 5.
