Abstract:
    A compound keyboard instrument provided with a silencing system (6) by which one section of music can be played by a player with electronic tone rather than acoustics tone. The silencing system (6) includes a percussion hammer stop (30) for resiling the percussion hammer after keyboard action mechanism (8) escapement and before knocking the strings, a timing changing mechanism (260) for speeding up the percussion hammer escapement, and a driving mechanism (160/170) for transmitting the torque of the drive motor (150) to the percussion hammer stop (30) and timing changing mechanism (260). The invention simplifies internal structure thereof.
