Abstract:
    To provide a weight for a key with which a key main body can be held properly in a fixed state even if deformed without causing the key main body to crack. The weight 20 which is fitted to fitting holes 11a and 11b formed in the key main body 11 to adjust the weight of the key main body 11 comprises a caulking member 21 and a press member 22. An engagement projection 24 is provided in the center of a joined surface 23a of the caulking member 21 and a deformable caulking portion 25 is provided at an outer peripheral edge of the joint surface 23a along the outer peripheral edge. Further, an engagement recessed part 26 which can engage the engagement projection 24 and a press portion 27 which extends the caulking portion 25 to press it outward to the outer peripheral side to be engaged into peripheral wall parts of the fitting holes 11a and 11b are provided on the joint surface 22a of the press member 22. Furthermore, the weight 20 is made of copper 20.
