Abstract:
    Area data which are classified into nonpedestrian area data and pedestrian area data, data on streets which are walking permitted regions in the areas, data or blocks which are walking inhibited regions in the areas, index with which the block or street is sought using the address or the name as the search key and a table listing the areas belonging to the sections on a map are stored in a memory device (13). An input/output control means (111) which receives an input by the user, a pedestrian map data searching means (114) which obtains a pedestrian map data suitable for the input from the memory device and a pedestrian route searching means (112) which finds a pedestrian route by using the obtained map data are provided in a pedestrian information processor. Adequate walking route information suitable to the pedestrian and the walking state is supplied to the user in a short time.
