Abstract:
     A positioning system for moving object and its positioning method are disclosed. A camera device is used to read the data on at least one map. The data is stored in an image memory in graphic format. A position monitor receives the positioning signals and its coordinate value, the scale of map and the direction of map are calculated by a digital signal processing controller. The data on at least one map and current geologic position can be indicated by a display. It can be used for positioning and navigation. The user can conveniently input or update the data on map as will.
