Abstract:
    The invention relates to a method and to a device for the authorization in data transmission systems employing a transaction authorization number (TAN) or a comparable password. The user sends a qualifying identification and/or qualifying identification of the data input apparatus together with a request for the generation or for the selection of a transaction authorization number TAN or of comparable password to computer; The computer generates or selects a TAN or the password from file. The computer sends a TAN or the password to a receiver; the user receives this TAN or the password and enters them into input apparatus; TAN or the password is transmitted to the computer; the computer verifies the validity of the TAN or of the password in order to establish or switch free a connection between the data input apparatus and the receiver apparatus.
