Abstract:
    A slot machine includes: a reel which variably displays a plurality of symbols; symbol determination means which determines stop symbols to be visibly stopped on a pay line; and symbol display control means which performs a control for visibly stopping the stop symbols on the pay line, wherein a variable display game is played using a variable display and a visible stopping of the plurality of symbols, and a award is paid out in accordance with a combination of the stop symbols. The symbol display control means performs a two-step visible stopping control in which, after an adjacent area (W1b) adjacent to a central area (W1a) of a high award symbol is temporarily stopped, the central area is stopped on the pay line, thereby visibly stopping the high award symbol on the pay line.
