Abstract:
    The invention relates to a electronic column lock unit (ESCL) for vehicle and its control method. The invention including a backup segment fixing relieve (unlocking) state of locking plate of steering-axis, plurality of Hall sensors for testing position of the locking plate and backup segment. Comparing present state of ESCL and control state of accepted ESCL with the position data of the Hall sensors to verify if locking/unlocking action of the ESCL device is carried out indeed, moreover also receiving enable signal to prevent generating malfunction when ESCL effected by external electronic noise.
