Abstract:
     The system includes CCD camera installed above parking lot on roadside, remote card reader for picking up electronic number plate of vehicle, and video detector of loading/unloading lot. Through digital communication network from the remote card reader, the remote server for managing data receives electronic number plate of vehicle, logs on its time for entering the parking lot. The video detector receives information and compressed image of the loading/unloading lot utilized by the vehicle, and calculates time of exiting the parking lot. Receiving information including number plate, parking time etc. from the video detector, the fee charging server settles accounts with owner of the vehicle and informs it to the remote server for managing data. The server informs charging instance to owner of the vehicle as well as issuing information of loading/unloading lot. Advantages are: automatic monitoring loading/unloading lot and automatic changing parking fee.
