Abstract:
    A data compressing device and method, a data analyzing device and method, and a data managing system for compressing vasts amount of data and more accurately reproducing the characteristics of the original data from the compressed data. The system comprises sensing means (4) for detecting data sets each containing n parameter values (n: a natural number ) varying with the movement of an object when the object moves and data compressing means (6) for inputting the data sets detected by the sensing means (4) into an n-dimensional space, arranging a predetermined number of neurons fewer than the data sets in the n-dimensional space, learning the neurons by a teacher-less learning method for a neural network, converting the data sets into neuron model parameters featuring a neuron model produced by the learning, and thus compressing the data.
