Abstract:
     An image scanner with the function of renovating image is composed of image sensing module, lens set, scanning platform, primary light source and the secondary light source almost parallel to primary one and having an included angle with primary light axis to provide an inclined light source. The scratched image of scanned ducument can be renovated based on the diffusion and scatter charactersitics of light beams at scratched position. Said scanner takes two kinds of data: primary image data and the secondary image data generated by the diffusion and scatter of light beams at scratched surface. The image processing technique in conjuction with primary image data is used to renovate the scratched image.
