Abstract:
    Disclosed is a method for producing a reference image for pattern recognition tasks, wherein individual overlapping images are gathered into a total image which is used as a reference image. The sizes of reference images for fingerprints, which so far have been determined by the surface of the sensor, can be enlarged and the recognition rate can be improved.
