Abstract:
     The present invention relates to a detent escapement for timepieces. The detent escapement for timepieces includes an escape wheel 2 to which teeth 3 are mounted; a balance wheel having at least one roller 4, which includes an impulse pallet stone 5 and has a notch 22 formed in a circular peripheral part 24, fixed to its balance staff 16; and a blocking member 6 in a lever form hinged to a pin 8. The blocking member carriers a means 80 for locking the escape wheel; a control finger piece 11; and a follower ending in a protrusion part 21 constituted in such a way as to cooperate with the notch of the roller. The roller 4 further includes a safety finger piece 95 constituted in such a way as to cooperate with the teeth of the escape wheel and lock the escape wheel when the impulse pallet stone 5 is accidentally unlocked from the teeth 3 of the escape wheel.
