Abstract:
    The invention provides a dial for a timepiece that is superior in esthetic appearance and durability by having transmission of electromagnetic waves (radio waves and light), and to provide the timepiece provided with the dial for the timepiece. The dial 1 for the timepiece has a glass fiber sheet 2 mainly, comprising a glass fiber, a first film 3 provided at the side of a first face 21 being one major face of the glass fiber sheet 2, and a second film 4 provided at the side of a second face 22 being the other major face of the glass fiber sheet 2. The glass fiber sheet 2 has a first region 23, provided in the vicinity of the surface of the first face 21 and entered by at least a part of the first film 3, a second region 24 provided in the vicinity of the surface of the second face 22 and entered by at least a part of the second film 4, and a third region 25, provided between the first region 23 and the second region 24 that has not been entered by the first film 3 and the second film 4.
