Abstract:
    The invention relates to the imaged portion of a positive-tone photoimageable dielectric coating composition, which comprising a combination of a novolac resin and a naphthoquinonediazide is soluble in an aqueous alkaline developer and the developed coating is rendered highly stable, chemically and thermally, by the presence therein of a crosslinkable resin and dicyandiamide or a thermally labile halogen-containing as a curing catalyst while heating the coating to cure it.
