Abstract:
    A 1,1-dimethyl-3-propanesulfonindo-1’-(N, N-dimethylamino ethanamino)-3’-ethyl- imiazolyl-carbocyanine dye used as the optical spectrum sensitivity dye for the photographic emulsion is prepared through the condensation reaction between 1-(N, N-dimethylamino ethanamino)-2-methyl-3-ethyl imidazole iodine salt and 1,1-dimethyl-2-phenylaminovinyl-3-propanesulfono indole in the nitrobenzene under existance of triethylamine and acetic anhydride as condensating agent.
