Abstract:
     The collapsible camera (10) includes a base panel (18) with a segmented panel (12) connected thereto. The base panel (18) carries light sensitive media (16), such as photographic film, and includes a light exposure region (24). The segmented panel (12) carries a lens (34) thereon. One end of the segmented panel (12) is anchored to one end edge of the base panel (18). The opposing end of the segmented panel (12) is slidably connected to the base panel (18). Upon sliding of the movable end of the segmented panel (12) toward the anchored end, the segmented panel (12) is erected thus positioning the lens (34) to the proper focal length from the light sensitive media (16) in preparation for taking a picture. Light blocking material (38) surrounds the region between the lens (34) and the light sensitive media (16).
