Abstract:
     The present invention discloses one fog detector with the functions of fog detection, forecasting and warning as one kind of automatic detecting unit. The fog detector consists of mainly emitter, receiver, control case, microcomputer and power supply. There is one support erected on the seat, the emitter and the receiver are set separately on two ends of one horizontal beam in the support, the control case is in the middle part of the support and connected via signal cable to the microcomputer system. The present invention is designed based on forwards scattering principle, double-optical path technology and signal cohering and accumulating technology to raise S/N ratio and has powerful and stable infrared ray source. The present invention has measurement range up to 10-20 Km, can display intuitively the visibility and fog density grade varying with time as well as instrument state.
