     This invention relates to a neutron spectral well logging system. Wherein, it comprises a probe (4) with 238Pu-Be neutron source of 4~28Ci activity prepared by dissolving, depositing and drying the 1:3~10 238PuO2 and Be, and a data acquisition and process unit (1). This invention replaces 241Am/Be without additional cost for wide application.
