Abstract:
There is metallic wire of cathode inside berylium window and wire of anode is inside cathode. Characters are that six proportional counter tubes constitute multi-cabinet counter. Wire mesh separates off each counter, and separation layer is as cathode layer. Three counters positioned at upper layer are as sensitive counters, and wire of anode is carbon fiber wire in high resistivity. Three counters positioned at lower layer are as anticoincidence counters, and wire of anode is goldplated tungsten wire. The six counters are packed in same container. Not combining counters simply, the invention merges cathode of each counter to constitute a common separation layer. Thus, structure is simplified and weight is reduced. Pulse charges generated by anode wires are split to anodes at two ends, where two amplifiers collect charges. Magnitude of outputting signal is in inverse proportion to length of path. Comparing with signals at two ends can determine location of ionized incident X ray.
