    An intelligent traffic information system based on mobile mesh network comprises detection vehicle equipped with vehicle transducer and vehicle positioning unit as well as vehicle radio terminal, mobile mesh network formed by radio backbone network using radio router as fixed node and by radio access network using detection vehicle as mobile node. It is featured as collecting traffic information from detection vehicle by radio access network then sending collected information to traffic information processing center through radio router according to IEEE 802.16 standard.
