Abstract:
    The invention concerns an opening arrangement of pliers such as a clamp-on probe. The arrangement comprises a fixed pliers jaw (1) carried by a fixed lever (2) and a mobile pliers jaw (3) carried by a lever (4) mounted pivoting on the fixed lever, about an axis (O) integral with it, between the opening and closing positions of the pliers, a draw spring for returning the pivoting lever in the closing position of the pliers. The arrangement is characterised in that the spring (7) is set between a location (P) on the fixed lever (2) and a location (M) on the pivoting lever (4), so that the spring is extended when the lever (4) pivots from its closing position into its opening position and draws nearer to the pivoting axis (O) such that the increase in the restoring force (Fr) is accompanied by a decrease of the lever arm (dr) of this force about the pivoting axis (O). The invention is useful for clamp-on probes.
