| A collision sensing apparatus (5-8) includes an acceleration sensor (50), first and second connector terminals (52, 53), reference connector terminals (54, 55) and leads (56-59). The acceleration sensor (50) is shaped into a square form. First and second contacts (50a, 50b) are provided in two diagonally opposed corner portions of the sensor (50). Reference contacts (50c, 50d) are arranged in the other two diagonally opposed corner portions of the sensor (50). The first and second connector terminals (52, 53) are opposed to the first and second contacts (50a, 50b), respectively. The reference connector terminals (54, 55) are opposed to the reference contacts (50c, 50d), respectively. The leads (56-59) connect the first and second connector terminals (52, 53) and the reference connector terminals (54, 55) to the first and second contacts (50a, 50b) and the reference contacts (50c, 50d). | |||
