Abstract:
     The present invention relates to an on-line detecting and sorting system for material, including semi-finished and finished products, based on photothermal method. The said system consists of radiator, reflecting shade, IR detector, separator, and shielding case. The separation process is that the material to be sorted is first measured for its absorption character, then irradiated for heating by the radiator and measured again with the IR detector for its re-radiation, and finally sorted by the separator, which processes the re-radiation signal in its level discriminating circuit.
