Abstract:
     This invention relates to an instrument for measuring the water content in crude oil according to different ray absorption abilities of oil and water in oil pipeline. Its goal is that the measure precision for 0-100% water contents keeps identical and average density of oil and water content can be simultaneously measured, A low-energy photon source is used to radiate silve film in the room to obtain rays with two groups of energy. The ray that goes through the absorption by oil and water is converted into electric pulse signal by sensor. The strength ND and NG of the ray with two groups of energy are obtained by the discrimination of pulse amplitude analyzer and the treatment of stabilizing the peak value of energy spectrum. Finally, the water content, average density and other parameters are obtained from the calculation with computer based on two formulas.
