Abstract:
    The present inveniton provides a device and method for measruing wear of the wheel which is used in a cutting device for plane plate. The invention includes a wear-measuring unit for measuring the state of wear degree according to the contact position of wheel and measuring block, and a memory unit for storing the data of wheel and measuring block, and a control device for deciding the state of wear degree by comparing the data measured by wear measuring unit with that stored in memory unit, and a report unit which can remind of changing wheel according the result given by the contorl device. The faults in carving glass substrate or cutting process can be avoid by exactly reminding of the wheel-changing time according to the device and method for measuring the wear degree of the wheel for carving pattern. For decline of the fault rate, the maintenance and repairing cost can be reduced, and the output is enhanced, the cost of unit process is reduced too.
