Abstract:
     Provided is a composite material capable of emitting light with soft and light touch of human hand or finger. A first composite material is formed of a fluorescent substance such as SrAl2O4:Eu and an elastic material such as a polyester resin, wherein the content of the fluorescent substance is >=30 wt.%. The composite material formed into a sheet having a thickness of <=1 mm to provide a stress luminescent material. The stress luminescent material is used as an artificial skin, a luminescent system, a display system, etc. A second composite material is formed of a fluorescent substance such as SrAl2O4:Eu and a piezoelectric material. A luminescent element which can be controlled through an electric signal from the outside is realized by using the second composite material.
