Abstract:
    Velometer is a kind of speed measurement device outfitted to electronic belt conveyor scale, solving the defects of low speed precision measurement and unreliable running that exist in the past velometers. The velometer is formed of a shell, two tachometer wheels, a main shaft, a speed changing gear, a detecting element, a grooved pulley and an outgoing line hole, and the tachometer wheel contacts a belt, driving the tachometer wheel to rotate as the running of the belt; the grooved pulley is driven to rotate by the gear, and the belt speed signal is detected via a convex-concave tooth of the grooved pulley and an optoelectronic coupling detecting element. The utility model adopts double tachometer wheel, and the friction between the tachometer wheel and the belt is added, with stable and reliable running of the velometer; owing to the shell adopts casting, the self weight of the velometer is enlarged, causing more accurate speed measurement; the speed measurement range is augmented via the change of the number of the speed changing gear teeth; the detecting element adopts the optoelectronic coupling device, increasing measurement precision.
